Happy Birthday Dad!

In honor of my dad (who LOVES the Farside cartoons) I decided to post this cartoon. I was trying to find the cartoon from March 24, 2006 but no luck.

Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Cody and I are just relaxing at home and preparing for our friend Austin to come stay with us for a week. Cody has been working Finding Nemo on ice all week (even today) so we haven't been doing too much. I actually went to see Finding Nemo on ice yesterday, and it was great show! I absolutely loved it. It followed the movie very closely, but you can only do so much on ice so some stuff was left out.

Wedding update: We got the bridesmaids dresses, YAY!!! They aren't the black ones pictured a few posts ago, but they are similar. It is a navy blue dress with a satin bow around the waist. They are gorgeous!! I also brought my wedding dress in to get it altered, but it turns out no alterations were needed (sigh of relief), so they are just going to steam clean it for me to get the wrinkles out. Less than 3 months to go!

Relaxation

Every year in Chicago, the river is dyed a brilliant green on Saint Patrick's Day. This green river flows all the way into the Atlantic Ocean to Ireland, marking a green trail as it goes. I would love to go see the river being dyed some time, that's a neat St. Patty's Day tradition.

This weekend, we took a break from all of the wedding planning and just stayed home. It was a nice break and we can't wait to celebrate St. patty's Day with some green beer!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Bridesmaids

Here are my bridesmaids wearing the dresses they will be wearing on the wedding day. I am still not sure if they will wear black with blue ribbons around the waist. If I can get the dresses in a blue that would be ideal. Either way, Lauren and Carol both look great in that dress (Carol looks soooo happy in that picture...NOT)!
I also got to try on my wedding gown today! It came in the mail a few days ago, but I drove it to Fort Collins for storage and got to try it on! I LOVE it! It needs a little altering, but it is the perfect dress. The flower girl and ring bearer are the only ones left... :) Only 3 more months (wow time flies). Can't wait!
