On Friday Aug 22, my friend Lauren drove to Lakewood and went to the Pepsi Center Democratic National Convention Open House with me. I entered to get two tickets, and was selected to go. Only 5000 people got tickets. :) When we got there, they only let us in if we had a group of 40 people. Above is a look at how many people were waiting to enter the main hall.
This is Lauren and I outside of the Pepsi Center.
They only let us go inside for a couple of minutes. I only got 3 good pictures of the inside. Those panels that curve and cover part of the ceiling are all video panels. There are lights everywhere! Notice the broadcasters in front of it all.
These are podiums that sink into the stage .
Here are the broadcasters close up. This was really cool to see. Cody is working the entire show as spotlight, so he gets to see all of the speeches in the Pepsi Center :) Apparently, Cody was already on Channel 9 news, they showed him hooking up lights, and my mom and grandma both saw him!
